NO MORE NO LESS

NO MORE NO LESS / EKKI MINNA

Fyrsta plata dúósins, NO MORE NO LESS er frjálst og óbundið ferðalag milli míkrótónal hljóðskúlptúra, harkalegrar mið-evrópskrar framúrstefnu, íslensks plúralisma og ofurfínnar danskrar naumhyggju.
. . . . .
EKKI MINNA (Andrew Power & Jónas Ásgeirsson) perform, curate, and collaborate - building genre-fluid avenues of expression while consciously expanding the accordion & cello formation beyond instrumentation. Now they present their debut album NO MORE NO LESS - a seemingly disjointed agglomeration of contrasts: microtonal structures, central European avant-garde, Icelandic pluralism and ultra-subtle Danish craftsmanship with a hint of a Schubert lied.

EFNISSKRÁ | PROGRAMME:

Franz Schubert: Täuschung, op. 89, D.911: No. 21 (arr. EKKI MINNA)

Christian Winther Christensen: Täuschung: Licht tanzt freundlich vor mir her (2012)

Mads Emil Dreyer: Vidder 1 (2019)

Re-Act

EKKI MINNA Duo (accordion/cello) goes acoustic for their new concept concert Re-Act at Musikhuset

In their projects the duo curates a cohesive concert experience through the use of space, choreography and multimedia. For Re-Act, they will use visual projections to weave a narrative thread from Sarah Nemtsov’s “solo” work Soutine: Paysage de Céret, through Haukur Tómasson’s Reaction (new version arranged for the duo), all the way to Mads Emil Dreyer’s Miniature 2 (Copenhagen premiere)

EKKI MINNA Duo (akkordeon/cello) uropfører deres akustiske koncept Re-Act Musikhuset.
